Bhakti Healing Arts

What makes White Lotus Bhakti's method especially unique is Krishna consciousness. His grace and guidance from within the heart personalizes the healing experience applied for each individual. The way of bhakti healing arts is thus alive, dynamic, unlimitedly variegated, reciprocal, and unreproducible.

My Method

The bhakti-rooted healing I facilitate includes the essence of practices like:

  • Somatic Healing

  • Intuitive Healing

  • Energy Healing/Reiki

  • Guided Meditation

  • Moving Meditation

  • Mindfulness

  • Contemplation

  • Creative Arts Therapy

  • Expressive Arts Therapy

  • Movement/Dance Therapy

My method doesn't fit neatly into one of the above modalities because it fits in all of them and then some, and also carries its own attributes not found in other practices.

Special Features

The bhakti healing arts I share are enhanced by:

1. Krishna's grace & Paramatma. I facilitate healing by connecting with Krishna in my heart who guides the way of helping you connect with Krsna in your heart to proceed through your own process of healing.  The means are thus dynamic, not a static set of techniques.

2. Diversity. Krishna has given me a variety of training, gifts, skills, talents, tools, and experiences to draw from, select from, or blend as suited to support you.

3. Psychic awareness. The extrasensory perception that Krishna gives me is fundamental to the way that I am able to support and facilitate healing individually. I receive information and guidance through imagery, messages, and sensations that I see, hear, and feel through inner senses. Krishna reveals subtle insight beneath the surface and beyond what the physical senses can ordinarily detect. I have no other way of knowing such things, but I consistently receive feedback that they resonate with accuracy, confirmation, clarification, comfort, and so forth. It is simply Paramatma, Lord Nityananda in my heart.

4. Empathic ability. As a subset of psychic ability, intuitive empathy enables me not only to listen, understand, reflect, and affirm your feelings but to also feel them. By Krishna's grace, it is like putting my hand under a faucet and feeling the texture and temperature of the water. Being able to tangibly feel the emotions, pain, and sensations you are feeling and to describe where they sit or how they move in your body or mind can help you feel understood, safe, supported, and more aware of your own experience. It also helps me follow the progression through the process of healing, and to know by feeling when a shift is needed or has happened, and when balance, relief, and completion are reached for you.

My method is thus devotional, personal, contemplative, introspective, integrative, meditative, intuitive, transformative, experiential, empathic, and more.

In Practice It Looks Like This:

Every session begins with compassionate listening. I invite you to express whatever is on your heart and mind - what you want to heal and achieve - and I hear you completely, without interruption or judgment, with full attention, patience, and empathy. Then I pray to Krishna in my heart to reveal His response and guide the way forward. The means to proceed that He inspires may include discussion or be only discussion. If appropriate for you, discussion will progress to being guided through an experience of your inner world. For some that may take a form like guided meditation, for others it could be a moving meditation, an energy healing treatment, or something else. It's up to you and the inspiration that Krishna gives for you. In all cases, you are supported step-by-step to connect with Krishna in your heart and become aware of what is happening in your body, mind, heart, and emotions; what you see, hear, and feel internally; and to express it in your inner heart exchange with Krishna, through your visualization, movement, writing, art, words, or own way. The experience begins where you are and gradually develops to soften what is hard, move what is stuck, soothe what hurts, release what is unwanted and embody the quality and bhakti you want to feel and offer. Krishna is the one who leads you; I'm just a mouthpiece that relays each prompt as I receive it from Him in my heart.

Still or Moving Options

You may choose to sit during a guided experience with your eyes closed, observing and undergoing your healing journey within. If you resonate with the mind-body-soul connection, or feel comfortable to explore it, prayerful movement or dance can also be chosen to add to the depth of impact.

The Power of Movement

Movement is powerfully transformative, especially when joined with prayerful intention and introspection. I appreciate that there are many reasons how and why it can affect profound healing and growth. Some have to do with the way that the body stores and releases trauma. Some have to do with the way that subtle energy moves physical energy, and the way moving physical energy can shift and shape subtle energy too. Some have to do with the brain, nervous system, muscle memory, repatterning, self-expression, endorphins, metaphors, and more. But one really simple one is the embodied soul's connection with the body. When you have an experience with/in your body, it is intrinsically connected, kept, and carried with you in it. Words can easily go in one ear and out the other, but when it's in the body it goes where you go and remains with you in the cellular memory as a frame of reference. While bhakti-rooted healing focuses more on the heart than the body, the body is one extraordinarily useful tool for helping move from the head to the heart. This is an operative principle of bhakti itself: By engaging the body and mind in devotional service, the senses are spiritualized and the heart is changed.

A Simple Example

For many years I heard encouragement to hand things over to Krishna or lay them down at His feet. It was inspiring to hear but remained a concept in my mind that I was striving or struggling to truly feel. Then one day, Nitai Gauranataraja inspired me to place my hands over my heart, pour my feelings/worry/question into my palms, and physically move my arms to offer, entrust, and surrender it at Their feet. My whole life changed! It was no longer just an abstract theoretical concept in my head. It was something I could fully feel, experience, and express. It was tangible, palpable, actionable. It came from and went straight back deeper into my heart.
